About the GMC
Since 2019, the GMC has been adapting and weaving ancient wisdom practices with modern science to meet the joys and challenges of gifted living.
A New Approach to Mindfulness, Personal Growth & Community for Gifted Adults

The Gifted Mindfulness Collective was founded in 2019 by Kelly Pryde, PhD in partnership with InterGifted with the aim of exploring mindfulness as a transformative path to wholeness of gifted being. We began with the question, How might mindfulness practices be adapted to support the intensity, complexity and entelechy of the gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) experience? This question combined with a commitment to offer safe, compassionate spaces in which gifted adults could explore their uncommon experiences together, led to a new model of meditation practice, personal growth, and community connection.

Connection Centred on Complexity, Curiosity, Creativity & Compassion
Like the gifted adults from around the world who join us for these explorations, our offerings are centred on complexity, creativity, curiosity and compassion. While we are guided and inspired by Buddhist and mindfulness practices, as well as a holistic model of giftedness, we also weave in other wisdom traditions and have developed a number of our own practices and frameworks. These include: LACE, FLOW and Compassionate Alchemy. Integrating ancient wisdom with modern science – neuroscience, trauma healing, somatics and depth psychologies, is fundamental to our approach to ensure a balance of spiritual and psychological gifted growth. In this way, we deeply value dialogue around our explorations not only to foster gifted-specific mirroring and authentic expression, but also to apply our insights to everyday gifted living.

Community, Courses, Workshops & Coaching

We have created a number of online offerings to support mindfulness-based gifted growth and development: a weekly Community of Practice for gifted and 2e women, as well as various Courses and Workshops for gifted adults. Kelly Pryde also offers Depth Coaching – a guided process that uses mindfulness, embodied imagination, and dreams to support gifted adults in getting in touch with and mobilizing the deeper parts of themselves longing for expression.

Contemplations & Conversations on the Gifted Feminine
Early in 2020 we were drawn to explore conscious femininity through a gifted lens. These contemplations and conversations have led to numerous insights around gifted sensual, emotional, intuitive, embodied, and imaginal intelligences that are woven into our current offerings and practices. Imaginal mindfulness, in particular, is a guiding process in our ongoing work to integrate the full range of one's gifted experience into conscious awareness and engender a deeper flow of being. Our new Depth Coaching offering has emerged from this work and engages these often repressed intelligences to support gifted adults in moving their lives forward in aligned ways.
Community, Connection and Belonging

At the heart of all of our offerings lies the tenet of community – that gifted wholeness happens in communion, not in isolation. We know that it is in connecting with other intense, complex, like-hearted peers that we restore our sense of belonging and our capacity to connect deeply and meaningfully. We embrace community as teacher in that we learn from each other – sharing, bearing witness, mirroring, and compassionately fumbling our way to more authentic gifted being.
Kelly studies and trains extensively in various traditions – from Zen, Insight meditation, and Unified Mindfulness to Mindful Self-Compassion, feminine spirituality, and deep ecology. Her core practice continues to be rooted in the Zen tradition where she has received teaching authority and dharma transmission (Inka) in the lineage of Tongdosa in South Korea. She is currently a facilitator-in-training for The Work that Reconnects in the lineage of Joanna Macy and is deeply influenced by the work of Joanna Macy and Thich Nhat Hanh.

We embrace a holistic model of giftedness that includes sensual, emotional, imaginal, embodied, existential and mental intelligences. Our LACE framework and FLOW practice invite the full range of one's gifted experience into their conscious awareness and engender a deeper experience and expression of being.
